I have created these poster/cover designs as a reflection to Sebastian Aubin's Dialogue With the Machine project. In his project he created a mono—space Cree syllabic font. I have tried to draw that mono—space font by hand in Swampy Cree (Fort Severn) Syllabics to create almost a time traveling approach. It contrasts and combines Aubin's idea of: changing the way the people of the Cree interact with machines and the way the machine interacts with the people of the Cree, by re-creating designs of a mono—space font in traditional drawing methods. The distortion in the work is a metaphor for the " flow" of transition of the Cree to a life where interaction with code, technology... is an accessible and daily task. pi'tawita'iek: we go up river by Jordan Bennett is what inspired me in the process of creating the idea of the flow.
